BINA Darulaman Bhd (BDB) has entered into a joint venture cum shareholders agreement (JVSA) with Energise Sdn Bhd to collaborate on renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency projects in Kedah and beyond.
Under the JVSA signed on June 25, 2025, the parties will form a special purpose vehicle (SPV), BDB Energise Sdn Bhd, in which BDB will hold a 51% stake and Energise the remaining 49%.
The joint venture aims to identify, develop, and implement solar photovoltaic systems, rooftop solar, and other clean energy initiatives for state and private-sector clients.
It will also explore energy performance contracting (EPC), net energy metering (NEM), and energy audits.
BDB said the collaboration aligns with its sustainability ambitions and the Kedah state government’s clean energy goals. — TMR
