BINA Darulaman Bhd’s unit, Aman Lagenda Sdn Bhd (ALSB), has signed a joint venture and shareholders agreement (JVSA) with Seterra Holdings Sdn Bhd to develop a premier international retirement, senior living, and assisted living hub in Langkawi.
The JVSA is subject to several conditions precedent, which both parties aim to fulfill within six months, with an automatic extension if necessary.
Separately, the company unveiled Aman Seterra Sanctuary — billed as the world’s first Islamic-inspired international retirement sanctuary.
Spanning 12.42 acres in Kuala Temoyong, Langkawi, the project targets both local and international retirees and is part of Bina Darulaman’s strategic push into the silver economy, a sector projected to exceed US$9.1 trillion by 2029.
Group executive director Raja Shahreen Raja Othman said the development will offer a blend of independent living, assisted care, and long-term support, all within an eco-friendly, community-focused setting. — TMR
