
State-run Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB) has announced the appointment of Che Abdul Khalid Md Din as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), effective 1 November 2025. He takes over from YM Raja Shahreen Raja Othman who will step down when his fixed-term contract expires on 31 October 2025.
Che Abdul Khalid, 58, brings with him over three decades of experience in property development and construction, with a proven record in driving large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining BDB, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn Bhd (KTPC) from 2021 to 2025, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and operational growth. During his tenure, he successfully oversaw the functions of three key divisions — Sales & Strategic Planning, Land Development, and Property Management.
Under his leadership, Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) recorded impressive investment inflows, with foreign and domestic direct investments (FDI/DDI) amounting to RM10.7 billion in 2022, RM20.1 billion in 2023, and RM32.4 billion in 2024.
He also spearheaded the strategic planning and implementation of Build and Lease projects, managing processes from design to final handover, while leading project management services for investors and driving the expansion of new industrial zones. His efforts included coordinating investment missions abroad and maintaining close ties with government authorities and existing investors.
Che Abdul Khalid previously served as General Manager of KTPC from 2019 to 2021 and continues to hold the position of Executive Director at KTPC Resort Development Berhad since 2020. In August 2023, he was appointed Director of KSDC Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd.
His earlier career includes leadership roles at Pertabina Technical Services Sdn Bhd, Darulaman Realty Sdn Bhd (now BDB Land Sdn Bhd), and Kedah Holdings Sdn Bhd, where he managed overall operations and financial performance. He began his career in engineering and project management with Syarikat Jaya Utara Sdn Bhd, Perunding Timur Sdn Bhd, and DRSB between 1991 and 2002.
Che Abdul Khalid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Middlesex Polytechnic (now Middlesex University), London, England, and is widely recognised for his leadership in industrial development and investment facilitation.
